hi all,

downloaded the ydl 4.0 iso's and want to install. however, before i
do...

this article -->  http://www.macnn.com/news/26448
... says there is firewire support in ydl 4.0, plus if you do special
configuration, you can get it to install and boot off a firewire
storage drive (see article).

this is what i want — i have a firewire 300 gb maxstor one touch drive
attached to my powerbook when it's at my home base, and i want the
yellow dog to be installed and boot off a partition on that firewire
device.

so my question, please, is —>> what's the config? where is it? is it
in an f.a.q. or "how to" somewhere? if so can someone please direct me
to this (and please, make sure, if possible, that it's simple, as i'm a
bit of rank unix/linux newbie, so saying "jez re-do this line to be
'/dev0=1'" without telling me *where* in the file i need to do this,
what file (name), where the file can be found, and if it needs to be
recompiled, and how to recompile it, is going to have me coming back
here asking many more annoying questions — sorry).

any help offered will be greatly appreciated?

sincerely,
