Error Loading The Kernal on G4

Hi there.

 

After a fresh install of YDL 4 on my G4, I'm getting an error loading the
kernel:

 

 
/pci at f000000/mac-io at 17/ata-4 at 1f000/disk at 0:5,/vmlinux-2.6.8-1.ydl.7: Unknown
or corrupt file system

 

My G4 has a 130 GB Maxtor drive (I used the Maxtor utility to do a low level
format to make sure it's a clean working drive).

 

Any ideas on this particular problem?  I used the YDL 4 disks to install on
my G3 without any problems.
