Hello All,
I am having a problem with my Orinoco Gold Wireless Card under YDL 4.0
on a PowerBook G3 (Firewire
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=43126). This card had
worked on my wireless network under YDL 3.0. I have upgraded to the
2.6.9-1.ydl.8 kernel. It did not work with the 2.6.8-1.ydl.7 kernel
either. When I perform an /etc/init.d/pcmcia start the lights on the
wireless card do not come on and I receive the following output in
/var/log/messages:
Jan 24 21:22:49 linux cardmgr[3890]: watching 1 socket
Jan 24 21:22:49 linux kernel: cs: unable to map card memory!

Jan 24 21:22:49 linux cardmgr[3891]: executing: 'modprobe memory_cs

Jan 24 21:22:49 linux cardmgr[3891]: + FATAL: Module memory_cs not
found.
Jan 24 21:22:49 linux cardmgr[3891]: modprobe exited with status 1
Jan 24 21:22:49 linux cardmgr[3891]: module

Jan 24 21:22:49 linux cardmgr[3891]: bind 'memory_cs' to socket 0
failed: Invalid argument
The pcmcia directory does not exist inside of
/lib/modules/2.6.9-1.ydl.8 (or inside of 2.6.8-1.ydl.7 for that
matter). I cannot find the memory_cs.o file anywhere on my system.
Here is the output from lsmod:

Anyone have any ideas how I can fix my broken wireless?
Thanks for the help!
