YDL on the Apple Macintosh PowerPC 6500/275

Does anyone know if it is possible to run YDL on the Apple Macintosh PowerPC 
6500/275? I have ran Linux before on PCs but found  it troublesome due to 
driver support issues. So I decided to try to run on it on a computer system 
that has a limited amount hardware configurations! Any help or advice would 
be appreciated. If not YDL what distro should I use? Thanks!
