Hi,
Could a kind soul who actiually has either a 20" or 17" Apple
iMac G5 PC and has installed Yellow Dog Linux Version 4.0.1 from the
Purchased Disk Set or the downloaded iso's, explain how to get around
the not syncing error and.....

<rebooting in 180 seconds>

text line "if " the installer installer option " install-g5" is used ?

Is there some hidden key combo used?
Are there added parameters added behind the desired installer boot
option,,,, if so,, what are these parameters for the iMac G5 ?

YDL have an updated 4.0.1 companion pdf file available on their site
here:

http://www.terrasoftsolutions.com/support/installation/ydl4.0_guide-doubl
e.pdf

Which states:

Note: for G5 computers use "install-g5" and "install-g5 text"

the "install-g5" option supposedly would start the GUI install
..........."IT DOESN'T" !!!!!!

and also in press releases about ydl version 4.0.1 clearly state
that,,,, Yes,,, the Mini Mac and iMac G5 do install and work.
Also again on YDL's Site the spported hardware section, has the iMac G5
(17"-20") are supported with a few bits and pieces still yet
unsupported.

Or is the YDL Version 4.0.1 installer broken as far as the Apple iMac
G5 20" and 17" models are concerned ?

We "STILL" have not seen the 4.0.1 GUI Installer. We are definately at
a brick wall !!!

Please help if you can.
