cross-building PPC toolchain for x86 Linux

I may be misunderstanding the problem completely.  However, why not try  
using Bochs as your connection to the pentium from within YDL?   
Wouldn't that approach be easier in what you are trying to do if your  
intent is to develop within YDL for PPC?

Just a thought ....
