Thank you for your response, however I had found that link and followed the instructions, However after following the steps, after eth0 was recreated it became a type of wireless (again). I am not new to Linux just to Yellow-Dog.
I

The eth0 device will accept the ip address and appear to come up. I have stop/started the network many times, but I can not ping any other machine on the network. The led on the wired port is lit but not flashing (which is what our other machines do when they are on the network).

Any other suggestions?

Thanks Again
Terri

Hi Terri:

Did you have a chance to review this reference? Check it out:

http://www.terrasoftsolutions.com/support/solutions/ydl_5.0/ps3-wifi-
to-wired.shtml

It details how to switch from wireless back to wired connection on
the PS3. I have only a tiny suggestion to add to these directions
which new users unfamiliar with Linux can find confusing.
The most obvious problem is the use of quotes, as the CLI uses quotes
as indicating specific actions or commands unknown in traditional
English usage. But that may not be a problem for you if you are
familiar with the terminal & CLI.

If you need more than this, just ask.
