YDL installer vs Slackintosh

I wonder what the difference is between the Slackintosh and YDL  
installers. I can get Slack to install but the installer for YDL won't  
get past the first screen that comes up after pressing enter to  
install. The last lines have something like cpu99 kick, then the  
install gives up. Isn't cpu99 a 32 bit thing? Any clues? Thanks, Steve
