G5 Woes

Stephen,
Have you tried the install-text option?  This may allow you to get the 
system installed then debug the graphics issues from a full system, if 
they still exist.

Also the Apple Cinema Display has not always been fully supported under 
YDL so you want to try a different monitor also.
