Terra Soft Solutions Offers Full Support for iMacs and pre-G3s with Yellow Dog Linux Champion Server

Loveland, Colorado 7 April 1999

Terra Soft Solutions announced last week the shipment of Yellow Dog Linux Champion Server for Apple Macintosh G3 computers. And now, TSS is pleased to offer full support for the iMacs as well as the following pre-G3 Macs: 6360, 6400, 6500, 7200, 7300, 7500, 7600, 8500, 8600, 9500, 9600.

"We are pleased to offer an [installer] update so soon after our initial ship date. The new installer works well with the iMacs and provides improvements for the PowerBook G3s," states Dan Burcaw, head developer for Terra Soft Solutions.

Champion Server 1.0 may be purchased via the YDL website:

Please note that the updated installer must then be downloaded (in binary mode) from:
ftp://ftp.yellowdoglinux.com/pub/yellowdog/champion-1.0/updates/install/updcd_ramdisk.image.gz

This file will need to be renamed "ramdisk.image.gz" and placed in the System Folder prior to booting the installer. Users installing Yellow Dog Linux via another mode may download the new "ramdisk.image.gz" also available from the Yellow Dog Linux ftp sites.
