Yellow Dog Linux Gone Home Technology Preview at Mac World

Loveland, CO, 30 December 1999

Terra Soft Solutions, Inc., developers of Yellow Dog Linux for PowerPC
computers, will offer a preview of some of the technologies which make up
Yellow Dog Linux "Gome Home", the much anticipated release for the home
user and small business owner.

"We've been working on Gone Home for over six months and have some
wonderful, new technologies we'd like to show-off. We're not going to let
all of the surprises out of the bag, but come by our booth to see a little
of what we've been up to," Stephen Edie, Software Engineer at Terra Soft
remarks (grin not well concealed).

Gone Home will place emphasis on ease of installation, use, and
productivity. The new installer which Terra Soft is currently developing
will be fully graphical and mouse driven. Terra Soft has selected the K
Desktop Environment (KDE) as the default desktop interface for Yellow Dog
Linux Gone Home. KDE provides an integrated, intuitive, and easy to use GUI
which is critically important for a desktop version of Linux. Gone Home
will be offered as a stand-alone product, bundled with Loki games and/or
home-office applications.

Visit the Yellow Dog Linux booth #2046 at MacWorld 2000, San Francisco,
January 5-8. For more information about Gone Home, visit

ship Gone Q1 2000.
