Terra Soft Solutions' is pleased to announce Black Lab Linux parallel
computing systems built upon Apple PowerPCs for education, research, and
development facilities. Black Lab offers robust, low cost and low power
consumption, hi-performance advanced computing solutions.

"This is something we have been working toward since the inception of
Yellow Dog. There are some amazing research projects being conducted in the
United States and Apple's PowerPC hardware offers a very real solution
where the need for 'computing power' is challenged by the need to consume
less power," states Kai Staats, CEO Terra Soft Solutions.

Terra Soft Solutions currently offers hardware configuration and systems
design consulting. TSS will be offering several software options, including
advanced MPI libraries, benchmarking tools, and other applications as they
are ported, tested, and made available for PowerPC Linux. The Black Lab
Linux website also offers a strong online resource for research and support
of Beowulf and cluster computing on PowerPCs.

Troy Benjegerdes, consultant to Terra Soft Solutions states, "I have been
working with parallel computation on PowerPC Linux systems on and off for
more than two years now. This is the opportunity I have been waiting for to
demonstrate that Linux on PowerPC is a viable and competitive solution. I
am looking forward to working with Terra Soft to further develop Black Lab
Linux as a fully integrated solution."

Black Lab Linux offers:
 - commodity-based systems at a competitive price performance ratio;
 - hi-performance, PowerPC systems running Linux;
 - 40% less power consumption than comparable Pentium and Alpha based systems;
 - built upon the proven distribution Yellow Dog Linux Champion Server.
