Hi,

I am interested in using firewire deveices under linux (specifically a cd rom
RW I just bought).

I read the sourceforge page on firewire but nothing was said about specific
platforms.

Does anyone know about the current status of firewire support for ppc based
linux? Does it work or are there endian or other issues still to be worked
out?

Has anyone tried following the sourceforge project instructions, on patching
the 2.4.X kernel or the 2.2.19 kernel and actually tested any firewire
devices under YDL 2.0?

Any info or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
