Check your papd.conf file in /etc/atalk/

You may not have set it up properly. Here's my example:

lpr-devil:\
        :pr=|/usr/bin/lpr -Pstylps:op=netatalk:\
        :pd=/etc/atalk/ppds/APPLE230.PPD:

The pr= directive pipes the print request to lpr. All you'll probably
have to cvhange is the stylps part to whatever your printcap name is

The op= directive is the owner of the print requests, however this
usually defualts to root if you look at the queue (haven't figured it
out yet).

The pd= direcitve is PPD file name that netatalk needs to communicate
print requests between MacOS and YDL. I made a directory called ppd
under the atalk dirtectory and the APPLE230.PPD file is the generic
LaserWriter 8 PPD file from Adobe's ftp site:

ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/printerdrivers/mac/all/ppdfiles/apple.sit.hqx

Hope this helps
