Herbert,

I'm going to assume you're running YDL on a Power Mac. Here's what I've
done with my PM 7600:

edit /etc/quik.conf (note that you may have to install the quik rpm)
run quik -vf
run nvsetenv to set the "boot-device" Open Firmware variable, e.g.
nvsetenv boot-device scsi-int/sd@0:0 if quik is installed on scsi device
0, internal SCSI host adaptor
nvsetenv boot-device scsi-int/sd@1:0 if quik is installed on scsi device
1, internal SCSI host adaptor

You'll also need to make sure the kernel and System.map that you want to
use are in /boot (or wherever specified in quik.conf).

If you're running YDL on a B&W, you may want to look into yaboot. It
requires an HFS partition, but does not require Mac OS.

Myles
