gprof?

gprof fails every time I try to use it. It crashes without any info -
just 'Segmentation Fault' message.
Is it just broken for now, or it is me that is doing something wrong.
(example: gcc test.c -pg
                [OK]
                ./a.out
                [OK]
                gmon.out is here
                gprof
                SegFault!
)
