Another option to get the latest greatest src rpm for ssh from
rpmfind or tuxfinder.

It builds like a charm under YDL and works quite while (assuming you
chose to install a build environment- but seeing your sig, I assume
you did)

rpm -ih ssh-whatever.src.rpm
rpm -ba /usr/src/rpm/SPECS/ssh.spec

The binary rpms are put into /usr/src/rpm/RPMS/ppc

it's *possible* you'll get errors at the end of the build due to the
fact that YellowDog rpm gzips all the man pages, and generic spec
files don't always specify man pages as gzipped.

If that happens, I have a more generic RPM on my site that you can
install instead of YellowDogs. I found that easier than constantly
editing spec files to the way YellowDog rpm's build.
