Hi,

As far as I'm aware, StarOffice has not been ported to powerpc based computers.
So my guess is that you have a .bin file that is meant to run on an intel
processor, and that's why you get the error. This will always be an issue.

Note that, if you have the source code for a program (the text file that the
programmer fills up with, for example, C code) that was written for an intel
machine, there is a chance that a powermac could compile that source code
without problems (a powermac .bin file would result).

Moral: the code may (or may not) be cross-platform, but the .bin file will
never be.
