the 10MB boot partition is meant to contain the boot files for Linux, but
does not contain the rest of your root files, and should be a MacOS Standard
(HFS) partition. This partition is the minimum you need to boot Linux on a
machine if you aren't running MacOS at all, however, you can run BootX ine
from your 400MB MacOS partition as long as it's not HFS+, and skip the 10MB
boot altogether. Here's where I think your error is: You should have a root
(/) partition that is at least 100MB. if you are making this partition the
10MB partition, this could be the source of your error.
