I have an 8600 with a Tempo ATA100 card and a Maxtor 60G drive attached. I
don't have any problems using the Maxtor under OS 9 or X, but I want to
change over to YDL as the primary OS on this machine. From what I have
found in the archives, this should be supported with kernel 2.4.4 and up,
but the drive does not show up as an option when partitioning, and when I
try to set mount points, I get an error relating to drive sdb (shouldn't the
drive show up as hda?) I don't have any problems with sda (the internal
SCSI drive that came with the machine). I want to set my /home on this
drive.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am a complete newbie, so
please try to be detailed in any suggestions. :) Also, I only get digest so
please reply to me directly.

Thanks,
Nate
