OHCI USB Card, YDL CS 1.2.1, and IOGear KVM?

Here's my setup:

IOGear 4-port KVM (MiniView II USB KVM)
Two Computers:
1 PowerMac G4/450MP
1 Performa 6400/200

Situation:

Recently I bought the KVM and got rid of my extra monitor, mouse and
keyboard that went w/ my 6400/200. I have an OrangeMicro FireWire+USB
card installed (OHCI compliant).

I have YDL CS 1.2.1 installed w/ a slightly altered stock kernel
(added DECtulip support for a Farallon 10/100 CommSlot II card). I
have one of the USB ports connected to the KVM (the other is empty,
but will eventually have a UPS connected).

I have the keyboard (w/mouse attached to it) connected to one of the
USB ports on the KVM. The other USB port on the KVM is connected to a
Belkin 7 port USB hub. Connected to that are two things:

1. Aiptek PenCam
2. Adaptoid USB-Nintendo64 adapter

Problem:

The KVM works great w/ my G4. The problem is w/ my 6400/200.
Apparently the stock kernel doesn't have USB support built-in (or as
modules). So, my USB keyboard and mouse don't work.

I took a look in menuconfig, and discovered a section on USB support
which appears not to be compiled in. Has anyone compiled USB support
into 2.2.17? if so, did you do it as modules or straight in the
kernel?

Thanks in advance
--- Sean
