It seems that the Xconfigurator when selecting the Apple Multiple Scan 17
Monitor,
the XF86Config file is wrong.

Solution:
HorizSync 31.4-60.2
VertRefresh 60-75
(in other words flip the horiz to vert, and the vert to horiz).

When I startx, no more problems.

Look in the RPMS folder on the YDL CDs. With the XFree rpms there should
be some Font rpms (100 and 75 dpi) as well. Install those and I suspect
your problems will go away.

Cheers,

Chris
