Subject: Kernel 2.4.7-pre6/ Sound and PPP

When I updated the kernel on my Imac DV 400, it seemed to break some things.
When I boot into KDE I get a burst of static rather than the normal music.
Also neither rp3 or kppp can find my internal 56k modem. Back to the old 2.2
kernel without a problem but thought someone would want to know.
