Actually, as long as it doesn't get too off-topic, I find this
interesting. My Intel friends run various flavors of RH, and we find it
interesting to compare. I was running MkLinux on an 8100/100 until logic
board issues side-lined that machine. I've then played w/ LinuxPPC on my
PPC9500 (what a horrible experience, including the mailing list) before
discovering the Joy of YDL. My upcoming projects are;

- install MkLinux on my PB5300c (now that I have enough ram. Still would
like a bigger hard drive). Unfortunately, will need to do any networking
thru MacOS due to no PCMCIA support. One can only hope someday....

- install XF4 on the 9500 prior to nuking it and going to YDL 2.0. I
want to ensure XF4 works w/ my ATI Rage Orion card. Never could get
XF3.3x to work, and no acceleration w/ Xpmac, which is *VERY* noticeable
to my Intel buddies.

- install Slackware on my Intel boxes. Just because *EVERYONE* runs RH
and I gotta Think Different, hehehehehe.

Cheers.

Pete

        FYI - this is a PowerPC Linux mailing list... your comments are
similar to the promotion of the Evil Empire on this list. ;)
