Subject: YDL 2.0/Cube/17" LCD monitor

Has anyone successfully installed YDL 2.0 on a G4 cube with a 17" LCD
monitor (not the studio display)?
I am unable to do so.
Symptoms:
Boot from CD, press tab for options.
Using either install or install gui with argument
video=aty128fb:vmode:20
and variations thereof results in three consistent events:
(1) a line is printed that the kernel is loading (elf32 kernel)
(2) another line is printed that the ramdisk is loading
(3) The screen goes blank, and the power light indicator begins repeating a
morse code "S" (or "O", if you like) indefinitely.
The above video arguments apparently work for a 17" studio (CRT)
display, but they do not work for my LCD. Has anyone gotten YDL to
install on such a system? If so, what were your arguments to the
kernel?
[I'd like to hear of success or failure, either way.]
