Hello all,
I was quite shocked to notice that YDL 2.1 [and im assuming 2.2] was
shipping with Gaim .11. The Gaim .11 version doesnt even work on Oscar
anymore and is useless. Curently gaim is at .53 with it latest
enhancements of IM images [Direct Connect], Typing notification as well
as other Aim, MSN, Yahoo, jabber enhancements.
I did some reseach to find out that the last ppc.rpm released at Gaim
was the .11 version which is why, I suspect, YDL and other ppc distros
are still shipping it. Therefor, I have made recent [.53] ppc.rpms and
they have been added to the gaim dl site. http://gaim.sf.net
However, I need some help. Before I start telling everyone they're
there I need them tested. They work fine for me. Using YDL 2.1 on and
iBook2. I figured you guys would be the best to help me.
Can A couple of you install the ppc.rpm's and make sure it works? And
then email me back you result.
I would greatly appreciate the help.

PS. I know people can just compile from source, but apparently some
distros will only use official rpms.
