The upgrade completed successfully, but now I have no mouse.
During boot, I see several lines mentioning it, they seem normal, ie I can make out mention of "adb". Then the pointer appears in the center of the screen. It won't move, and the system does not detect mouse movement or clicks from either the trackpad or the external adb mouse. They both worked during the installation, and I never had any problem with them under 2.0.
I'm not sure where to look, or how to get there. I set it up with the graphical login, which contrary to the installation guide, does not offer the option of dropping to text mode. It boots into KDE fine, but that's useless without a mouse. The failsafe mode doesn't work because it apparently needs a mouse click to shift the focus to the console window. I have been unable to get the system to boot from the Tasty Morsels CD.
So:
1) How can I boot to text mode?
2) What happened to the mouse, and how do I fix it?
