Mr. Blanchard is correct. By default, a YDL system does not start up X
upon boot. (The default runlevel, post-install, is init 3.) To change
this, one may simply edit the config file in /etc/rc.d to boot automagically
into runlevel 5 (X login). Root can also switch runlevels by typing 'init
[runlevel].'
