Subject: SMP Kernel - newer G4

I'm trying to get a new G4 with dual 800MHz something working.
(/proc/cpuinfo says cpu: unknown 80000201)
It works fine with the 2.4.4-1a kernel on the YDL 2.0 CD, but it does not
work when I enable SMP
and rebuild, or if I use the SMP kernel in that distribution (2.4.4-1asmp).
In the boot it gets to
openpic:enter
<snip>
openpic:exit
smp_core99_probe
smp_core99_kick_cpu
smp_core99_kick_cpu done
didn't find cpu 1
core99_setup_cpu 0 done
smp_commence
and then nothing.
I looked at the site mentioned below, but could not find the /users/dburcaw
area.
Has this moved?
What is the current "recommended" SMP kernel?
