3rd party formatters should never be an issue for Linux. The only
thing they do that is different from Apple's utils is to put their
proprietary MacOS drivers on driver partitions instead of Apple's
proprietary MacOS drivers. Linux doesn't use MacOS driver
partitions, hence it couldn't care less whose set of drivers are
present -- all it needs is a valid partition table.
