Howdy Eric,
I know that the full install requires at least 500Mbs, with a partition
of 2.5Gbs, I set the root "/" partition to 1Gb, and then mimicked the
partition structure that I am used to in my Unix environment.
/usr= 500Gb
/home= 500Mb
swap= 128Mb (double your RAM, but not to exceed 128Mb)
/ext0= whatever is left.
I realize you may need to adjust the size of partitions on your HD to
optimize performance, so set your root to no less than 500Mb, if you
want to install everything. It is unfortunate the YDL installer will
tell you how much space it will need, AFTER you have partitioned! I had
to re-partition 3 times to succeed in the install.
HAng in there, it is wonderful when I run Linux, so it is worth it!
