Yellow Dog Linux Bugfix Announcement
------------------------------------

Package: man
Issue Date: April 24, 2000
Update Date: April 24, 2000
Priority: low
Advisory ID: YDU-2000424-1

1. Topic:

This bugfix update corrects the default configuration
   file for the man package.

2. Problem:

The default /etc/man.config configuration was not setup
by default to allow viewing of non-gzipped manual pages.

All man pages included with software on the Champion
Server 1.2 CDs are gzipped. Only man pages from software
not installed from the CS 1.2 CDs was not viewable due

   to this bug.

3. Solution:

   a) Updating via yup...
We suggest that you use the Yellow Dog Update Program (yup)
to keep your system up-to-date. The following command will
automatically retrieve and install the fixed version of
   man onto your system:

           yup update man

   b) Updating manually...
The update can also be retrieved manually from our ftp site
below along with the rpm command that should be used to install
   the update.

   ftp://ftp.yellowdoglinux.com/pub/yellowdog/updates/champion-1.2/ppc/RPMS/
   man-1.5h1-1.ppc.rpm

        rpm -Fvh man-1.5h1-1.ppc.rpm
