Yellow Dog Linux Bugfix Announcement
------------------------------------
Package: yup
Issue Date: July 25, 2001
Priority: high
Advisory ID: YDU-20010725-9
1. Topic:
Improved version of yup, the Yellow Dog
Update program is available.
2. Problem:
The version of yup that shipped with
YDL 2.0 had some fairly major functionality
problems and lack of decent error handling.
This update improves the networking code,
handles more error cases properly, and
drastically reduces the number of operational
problemsencountered with the last revision.
3. Solution:
a) Updating via yup...
Running yup should automatically
retrieve the new version.
b) Updating manually...
The update can also be retrieved manually from our ftp site
below along with the rpm command that should be used to install
the update. (Please use a mirror site)
ftp://ftp.yellowdoglinux.com/pub/yellowdog/updates/yellowdog-2.0/ppc/RPMS/
rpm -Fvh yup-0.7.6-2.noarch.rpm
4. Verification

If you wish to verify that each package has not been corrupted or tampered with,
examine the md5sum with the following command: rpm --checksig --nogpg filename
