Yellow Dog Linux Bugfix Announcement
------------------------------------

Package: netatalk
Issue Date: July 25, 2001
Priority: low
Advisory ID: YDU-20010725-17

1. Topic:

        Updated netatalk packages are available.

2. Problem:

The netatalk package that shipped with Yellow
Dog Linux 2.0 was not installing the pagecount.ps
file. This file is required for some tasks
such as printing (when accounting is turned on).

Terra Soft would like to thank Kevin Hendricks
for pointing out this problem and Jeramy Smith
        for posting a fix.

3. Solution:

           a) Updating via yup...
We suggest that you use the Yellow Dog Update Program (yup)
to keep your system up-to-date. The following command(s) will
automatically retrieve and install the fixed version of
           this update onto your system:

                   yup update netatalk
                yup update netatalk-devel

           b) Updating manually...
The update can also be retrieved manually from our ftp site
below along with the rpm command that should be used to install
the update. (Please use a mirror site)

                   ftp://ftp.yellowdoglinux.com/pub/yellowdog/updates/yellowdog-2.0/ppc/RPMS/
                rpm -Fvh netatalk-1.5pre2-6b.ppc.rpm
                rpm -Fvh netatalk-devel-1.5pre2-6b.ppc.rpm

4. Verification

MD5 checksum Package
-------------------------------- ----------------------------
ec337ca16b9fbf19f052e3e426469f7d SRPMS/netatalk-1.5pre2-6b.src.rpm
1cd36cbfe8a8e6cf697c6fec44bc9a9a ppc/RPMS/netatalk-1.5pre2-6b.ppc.rpm
e99dada70702f36a1551b189e50e81ac ppc/RPMS/netatalk-devel-1.5pre2-6b.ppc.rpm

If you wish to verify that each package has not been corrupted or tampered with,
examine the md5sum with the following command: rpm --checksig --nogpg filename

5. Misc.

Terra Soft has setup a moderated mailing list where these security, bugfix, and package
enhancement announcements will be posted. See http://lists.yellowdoglinux.com/ for more
information.
