Thanks for everyone's help. What I ended up doing was starting with extensions
off by holding down the shift key ( sometimes I had to press it twice). Then I
used the extension manager to choose either all extensions or base extensions
and restarted. Then I marked off whatever extensions I wanted and the
extension manager made a duplicate copy to use when I restarted one more time.
So now it seems to be working.
But when I chose the Maxpowr G3 extension and the Maxpowr G3 Control it
wouldn't start. I'm not sure why, so I left these unchecked in the extension
manager..
