CD-ROM Activity lockups under mol 0.9.46

Subject: CD-ROM Activity lockups under mol 0.9.46

Yesterday at work on my G4 running yellowdog's source distribution of
2.2.15-2.0.9, I tried installing Adobe Photoshop 5.5 over CD-ROM. The
CD-ROM is /dev/hdc which I added to my /etc/molrc.

MacOS (9.0) sees the CD fine, the install gets about 1/2 to 2/3 the way
through and the Mac completely hangs up.

One time, I force quit the installer and got back to the Finder at which
point I double clicked on a folder on the CD to open which confirmed my
suspicions that there is some problem with the CD interface under mol.

Is anyone actively working on making the CD-ROM interface look more like a
CD-ROM than "Internal RAM"? (which I think means it pretends to be a RAM
Disk)

If there's any way you need me to help debug this, let me know.
