Hi,
As a few of you might have noticed, the 0.9.35 release was silently
uploaded yesterday. It contains the following improvements:
- Audio
- Clock fix for daylight saving
To get the audio working, make sure the extension 'MOLAudio' is
installed in the System Folder (download from www.maconlinux.org
or copy from the /usr/doc/mol-0.9.45 folder).
Known problems:
- The sound control panel (in MacOS 8.6, not 9.0) might crash,
and prevent the MOLAudio output driver to be selected (it
crashes even when the driver is not installed).
The "Monitors and Sound" panel should work (I hope).
- The sound is smooth on my machine (running MacOS 9.0,
with the 3.0 ROM). It runs a bit less smooth under certain
situations in 8.6 (with the 1.4/1.6) ROM. This seems to
be caused primarily by the doze code.
Due to some unfortunate double work (my fault, I have been
hard to reach for quite some time), we now have two sound
drivers. The driver included is not Fredrik's, but I would
like complement him for his excellent work. The drivers
should be quite similar, but I've included the one I can
publish under GNU.
Cheers,
/Samuel
