The tone pattern I was experiencing with Mac-on-Linux with Paulus'
2.4.0-test10 tree is gone with test11 and the Mac-on-Linux BitKeeper tree;
also, the network hand seems to have been eliminated. (hooray!) The only
lingering problem I'm seeing is that sound just drops out for a couple
seconds at a time during playback (i.e., playing the QT Dungeons and
Dragons trailer). It'll pick up approximately where it should be, it just
drops out. It does this regularly, throughout playback. The video
playback, however, doesn't seem to be affected - in fullscreen mod, the
smoothness is about the same as with MacOS running standalone.

This is on a blue-and-white G3/350 tower system, with 192 MB of RAM (64
assigned to MOL), under XFree 4.0.1.
