My first answer was this:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
To change resolution of Xpmac have a loook at /etc/fb.modes: I have two
configurations:
1024x768-75
800x600-95

I only give the command 'fbset 1024x768-95' or 'fbset 800x600-95' to
switch them. But with the previuos release of MOL (0.9.47) I was using I
had no problems to run Mol in 800x600 while running Xpmac at 1024x768.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
But then I made some other tries and got a solution; I think that there
is some 'misunderstanding' between molvconfig and Xpmac.
The facts: I ran molvconfig and tested no modes except for the current
one, that is 1024x768-75 according to fbset. I got this output in
/usr/lib/mol/config/vmodes:

800 600 800 600 0 0 16037 139 21 28 1 80 3 3 0
3 0 8 800 0 15 1600 0 32 3200 0

I saw that it was a little strange, saved it to another text file and ran
molvconfig again testing the two modes I have in /etc/fb.modes, that is
1024x768-75 and 800x600-95 and got this output:

1024 768 1024 768 0 0 12735 167 25 28 1 96 3 3 0
3 4902946 8 1024 0 15 2048 0 32 4096 0
#
800 600 1024 768 0 0 16037 139 21 28 1 80 3 3 0
3 6217365 8 1024 0 15 2048 0 32 4096 0

I saw there was a difference between the second mode of this output and
the previous output and decided to cut it, and then to paste the
previous, so to obtain this /usr/lib/mol/config/vmodes

1024 768 1024 768 0 0 12735 167 25 28 1 96 3 3 0
3 4902946 8 1024 0 15 2048 0 32 4096 0
#
800 600 800 600 0 0 16037 139 21 28 1 80 3 3 0
3 0 8 800 0 15 1600 0 32 3200 0

I started then mol again and all worked! Now I can again switch between
the two resolution in MacOs.

For completeness the message error I got before was:
Console video: Rowbytes has changed (was 4096, now 3200)!
Video ransition failed

Bye.
