Well, the problem is that if MOL saves the complete nvram
after an oldworld session, there will be problems at the
next boot (probably because of diagnostic OpenFirmware
information indicating an error). The current workaround
is saving only the the parameter RAM. Unfortunately it appears
as if the location of the PRAM inside the nvram is dependent
upon the system version and/or oldworld ROM-image.

I believe it would be possible to probe for the parameter RAM
offset from one of the mac-side drivers instead of hardcoding it.
