This is becausse VBL interrupts are not running correctly. You could
try the bitkeeper version of MOL (bk://waltari.theophys.kth.se:5000).
I've reworked the DEC/timebase code in order to fix this bug
(although, I've not yet tested it with recent 2.4 kernels).
