I am also on some MkLinux lists and this sort of thing has been discussed - whether
to switch to developing Darwin instead of MkLinux. The consensus seems to be that
it would be better to try and merge the two operating systems.

Someone on one of the lists mentioned that there is a package which allows BSD for
Intel to run Linux binaries, but he said that porting this package to Darwin would
be "non-trivial."

Also, there has been speculation that it is possible to use the multi-server
capability of the Mach Kernel to allow Mac OS X and MkLinux to run simultaneously.

One way or another, it would be great to have the ability to run Linux software on
Mac OS X and MOL on Darwin, etc.
