Brice,

The problem that you are having sounds very similar to the one I am
currently experiencing (see message "Still having problems with MOL on a
G4"). I am trying to run MOL on SUSE Linux 7.0, and getting the same type
of disk activity.

If you are able to fix this problem in a way other than through this disk,
please let me know how you solved it.
