On a notebook? I assume you mean, have the internal LCD display and a
monitor connected to the same notebook?

Unless the Pismo has a completely separate display controller for the
external display (which isn't likely), I highly doubt it. Can it be done
on the MacOS side? If not, then you certainly can't do it on the Linux
side.
