It does this right away when you switch to console? Or it appears correctly at
first, and this starts to happen? Or this happens when MacOS switches video
modes from the "default" mode to what it thinks it should be using? What
resolution did you last have set in MacOS?

Make sure the device and the protocol are both correct (use ps2 if it's a USB
mouse).
