Well, I don't know how to do #1, but that would be cool, if it's
possible.

To get sound working on MOL, I had to use the Sound control panel, not the
Monitors and Sound control panel. This panel was hidden away in my 'Apple
Extras' folder. In that CP, there was an option to use MOL audion, assuming
that you've put the MOL Audio extension in the System Folder.

This is on Mac OS 8.6, so I'm not sure if it's the same process for other
OS versions.
