Virtual Memory Settings in Mac OS

	How important is it not to use virtual memory in Mac OS (under MOL)? I 
boot into Mac OS both from Linux through MOL and directly when i start 
my iBook, and I'm kind of short of memory when I'm not using MOL...  I 
could of course change my virtual memory settings depending from my 
booting method but that would result in quite a lot of booting during 
the day. I have some USB devices that I'm not able to use through MOL so 
that I absolutely have to boot directly into Mac OS quite often.
