mouse from command

Ok, I am just about done spamming this list for the day:

Can not seem to get my mouse working from console or full screen in KDE.
I've done the hexdump command and have the device on /dev/mouse.  I've
edited /etc/mol/molrc.input and booted MOL with almost every combination of
devices, protocals, use consol, etc I could come up with.

The cursor works fine in a KDE window, but the best it worked within full
screen or consol MOL was the curser would only go up and sometimes right.

(BTW, what is the hotkey for shutdown on a windows keyboard?)
