mac-on-linux freeze (probably connected to sheep module)

Hi Samuel,

I installed the virtual memory fix you made, and I've been working with 
it all through yesterday. Your fix definitely greatly improves the 
statibility of mol.

I'm still experiencing freezes now and then, but they don't seem to be 
connected any more with the use of the network. I suspect them to be 
more related with MSWord and MacOS than with mol. (I should start a pure 
MacOS reboot to confirm that assumption.) In fact I already had similar 
problems before I switched to Linux.
