MOL and OSX on PPC604

Hello all,

This has probably already been covered, but I couldn't find an answer in
the archives, so...

..Can I run OSX on non-G3 or G4 processors using MOL? I have an IBM RS/6000
7248 running Debian. This machine has a 133MHz 604 processor. MacOS 9.2.2
runs fine on it, and Apple System Profiler reports a G3 133Mhz processor.

If I try to boot from an OSX 10.2.2 CD, it starts off accessing the CD for
a few moments, then locks MOL with just some corruption in the MOL display.
Using an earlier OSX CD (not sure of the version - I think it's 10.1), I
get a little further - the MOL log shows a message saying 'Mac OS 10.1
acceleration), and starts to display the Darwin kernel startup messages,
before Darwin exits with a kernel panic.

So, the question is, should I be able to run OSX on a 604, or am I just
asking too much of it? I have AltiVec support compiled into the kernel,
and the AltiVec MOL modules, and tried to start it using the command
line arguments, 'startmol -X --cdboot'. MOL version is 0.9.68.

Thanks,

Brian.
